Released by EMI Virgin on 30th November 2009, and available as CD, and MP3 download, the Tiswas Album is the first bit of official Tiswas merchandise since 2007's Tiswas Reunited DVD. It's not the first Tiswas-related album either, as The Four Bucketeers was released in 1980 on LP vinyl, comprising entirely of silly songs and sketches performed by the cast. It's never been re-issued, sadly. The Tiswas Album isn't aimed at being 100% Tiswas, it's a collection of 60 tracks from the era. Thankfully there are two tracks from the Four Bucketeers album that are present, making their official CD/MP3 debut for the first time. Priced at around £11, and running for around three and a half hours, this is one of the better 'school disco' type of compilations that are doing the rounds.
Hudson PR have been kind enough to give TiswasOnline an advance copy of The Tiswas Album for review, but rather than have our webmaster's opinions, we thought it best to hand it over to a former singing sensation from Tiswas, who makes an appearance on this very album!

Tiswas favourites and they appeared on the Tiswas Reunited show to get well and truly flanned by the Phantom! You gotta love a bit of The Mighty Quo

Another great track from the era and some classic riffs in there too! It would be more like.. '20, 40 ,60,80 minutes stuck in traffic on the Motorway' these days!!

Classic Meatloaf, I'm not his biggest fan but recently saw a cover artist called 'Maetloaf' and he really rocked this track!! So thumbs up for the memories!!

Just wish I had long hair to headbang to this classic rocker!!

'Milk And Alcohol' is storming, I love it!!

A long time before Sir Bob tried to end starvation in the world he had a great band who could throw out a decent track!!

Quality, love The Jam and this lesser known track hits the spot!!

We all loved Debbie Harry back in the day and this more chilled track from Blondie shows the band's more pop side!

One of my fave Sweet tracks. 'Love is like oxygen, You get too much and you get too high, Not enough and you're gonna die'... From the band who gave us Little Willy!!

I love Thin Lizzy and the bass line in this track is hypnotic!!

I remember my mum playing this track but have not heard it for years!! Great memories...

One of the more rockish ballad tracks!! Sure I have heard this track played on the Ken Bruce Show!!

Great keyboard work on this track, maybe my track will be an overnight sensation!! Ha ha!

I love the Motors, but must admit 'Airport' is my fave!! Once again that track evokes great memories!!

Wicked track and any band with the name 'Members' has to cut the mustard!!

Another fantastic band of the era!! Full of energy...

My favourite Squeeze track and a modern classic!!
Disc 2 is shaping up to be a disc with no tracks to skip!!

I love Ant music! I always wanted a white stripe across my nose like Adam Ants!! I play this track every year on Flying Ant Day!!

I can give this 5 stars just for the vid!! Very 1980s!!
Floppy haired popsters Haircut One Hundred show us their mathematic skills!!

Wicked track! Ew oh ew oh!!

For me this is what the 80s is all about!!

This song brings back memories of my sisters and their denim dungarees trying to get that Dexy's look!! I am sure these guys did the theme to 'Brush Strokes'!!

Terry Hall reinvents himself and joins up with a soon to be much successful girl band!! Girl power, eh?

Love the deadpan singing in this track!! He totally sounds fed up. The kitchen can be a good place at parties!! They generally keep the booze there!! Cheer up Jona...

Keyboards ahoy!! The Human League give us a great take on getting dumped!!

Pretty Women with gorillas walking down my street!! We have all seen it. Another cracker on this disc!

Poor old Nigel, These guys are really out to get him!! But a storming track if you're not Nigel!!

The late great Ian Dury!! What a waste... I just love the wailing sax at the end!!!

A one hit wonder which really must have influenced Calvin Harris!! But not the pineapple...

I remember these being on Sally's Almost Legendary Pop Interview and the lead singer proclaiming "No I can't sing and I am having singing lessons"... It doesn't harm your careers to talk a song! Check out the Pet Shop Boys!!

The cool vocals and slick band make this into a total classic!! I can imagine this was a 'round in circles last dance track' at school discos back in the early 80s!!

Used to tease my sister and call her Kate Bush!! Not my favourite but very talented!!!

The cheese element to disc 3 is superb!! And this rocker from Shaky is up there!! I thought he was playing for Fulchester United these days?!

During an interview this guy was quoted as saying 'Matthew Butler, I hope he gets mixamatosis!!' So much for being a loving Christian!! Check out Shed Seven's cover version of this... Cracking!!

We all loved this Euro classic!! Keep hold of your skirts...

I can remember Racey but were they a little bit like Shawaddywaddy?

The leather glove wearing Alvin was rock-and-rolling it with this little guilty pleasure!!

I bloody love Chas 'n' dave and have been lucky enough to dance around on stage to Rabbit Rabbit back in the old Tiswas days!!I am off to see Chas And His Band at the end of November and will be getting my album signed!! LEGENDS...

He just wanted to write, play and sing the theme tune!! Who could blame him? Why didn't someone stop Shane Richie from doing the same?!!

The Wurzels have me in stitches!! I saw them play once and the drummer was about 106 years old!!

Disc 3 has some stand out cheese and guilty pleasures!! She should be happy her baby is working! There is a recession on Sheena!!

Another song which evokes great memeories of my youth!! One of my mum's 'Keep Fit' tracks... Sarah Brightman singing?!?!!?

Great guitar riff into this track and the smooth vocals of the ever young Errol really work!!

I am not too keen on this steel drum band sounding track!!

Smooth vocals, but no way near 'When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman'...

Macca hits the right spot with this tidy little ditty!!

Classic!!! I love this track... 'I am the green grass and you are the rain!!' Are they referring to the Heartbeat character here?

Suzi rocking out with this track!! Get me the Fonz right now...

This mock reggae track reminds me of my sister's rabbit called Bunzo. When he heard this track he would attack anyone in sight!!?! I wonder why... 5 stars for the memories!!

Well I had to!! This rock classic finally gets to see the light after 25 years... Can't understand why it has been hidden way!! Great memories from a special and fantastic time in my life which has allowed me to make so many friends and do some amazing things! Thanks CT...
